Define Normal: The Waterfall Ritual

Once a week, we return to the waterfall. Not as an escape — but as remembrance. For us, “normal” means direct contact with the earth. We walk barefoot along the trail, allowing our feet to touch soil, roots, stones, and mud. Different textures awaken the body, strengthen the feet, and reconnect us to the ground beneath us. We practice grounding by feeling the earth fully. We touch trees, leaves, and flowers to experience their textures and subtle energy. We expose our skin to the sun. We listen carefully to the birds, the wind, the flowing water. At the waterfall, we bathe in moving water — nature’s purifier. The current washes not only the body, but the mind. Sometimes we bring our crystals to recharge in the sun and flowing stream. We meditate there, surrounded by sound, light, and life. We get dirty. We step in mud. We let our hair dry in the sun. Because to us, this is wellness. To walk barefoot on different soils strengthens the body. To bathe in living water cleanses deeply. To sit in silence among trees restores clarity. Define Normal means remembering that we belong to nature — and nature belongs in our daily life.
